Play as a Russian agent
Heptyl is a free-to-download first-person shooter demo set in a deserted Soviet city. It centers on an agent named October, who was sent to investigate the virus outbreak in the city. Equipped with an AK47 with limited ammo, he has to survive and get to the bottom of it all.
Single-player and multiplayer support
Taking on the shoes of October, Heptyl’s protagonist, the player completes in-game objectives and eliminates enemies along the way, some of which are undead dogs. Encountering these fiendish canines can deplete your ammo and health fast. While exploration is highly encouraged, ammo and healing items can be sparse.
There are typos in the dialogue, too. Regarding multiplayer mode, you can join a server or create your own, so you can participate in a game of deathmatch or relieve the title’s single-player campaign with other agents in co-op. Right now, this game doesn’t have an active player base.
Something to look forward to
Heptyl offers the best of both worlds in its single-player and multiplayer modes. The campaign can be frustrating to beat due to encounters with the undead dogs, thus depleting your ammo supply and healing items. The title’s multiplayer looks promising, but don’t expect to find active players just yet.
